Civic Engagement

In May 2022, the National Park Service (NPS) at Zion National Park (ZION) expects to engage the public on a proposal to redesign the South Entrance area of Zion Canyon. Currently, the NPS is actively working to collect baseline data necessary to perform the appropriate analyses to better understand the potential effects. While these efforts are ongoing, the NPS aims to provide ample opportunity to facilitate the exchange of information and foster an open dialogue around the potential for any perceived beneficial or adverse impacts.

The NPS encourages your participation and welcomes your attendance at an upcoming virtual meeting to discuss this proposal in more detail. Access the "Project Links" menu to the left of the screen to view a Story Map describing the Zion Canyon South Entrance Redesign proposal (under "Links") and to learn more about participating in the upcoming "Meeting Notices." We look forward to your hearing from you!
