Proposed Geotech Locations for Olympic Hot Springs Road
The first map depicts 14 (the red dots) of the proposed 28 bore hole locations. These 14 are those that would occur in relation to the potential road relocation area (which is not yet definitely defined as it's dependent on the outcomes geotechnical investigation).
The second map depicts all 28 proposed bore hole and 2 test pit locations.
The potential road relocation alignment is currently a best guess and will be subject to change depending on the results of the geotechnical investigation and the outcome of the NEPA documents. Remember, there will likely be two Environmental Assessments (EAs) - the first one, which is the one that's being drafting now for the geotechnical investigation; and then, if the geotechnical investigation itself (i.e., during implementation of the first EA) proves that a road relocation to this bench is feasible we'll pick back up with the second EA to determine long-term planning for the Olympic Hot Springs Road, which would include analysis on a potential relocation of the road to this bench.
