Florida Bay Seagrass and Propeller Scarring Report (2008)


This study analyses current and historic conditions of seagrass and impacts to this important resource from motor boat propellers in Florida Bay. Included is an analysis of factors that lead to propeller scarring in the shallow marine waters and discusses management options for protecting and restoring these vital natural and wilderness resources.
