Draft Property Management Plan/Environmental Assessment

Missouri National Recreational River has developed a Draft Property Management Plan and Environmental Assessment for three properties under National Park Service (NPS) ownership - Green Island, Cedar County (60 acres); Mulberry Bend, Dixon County (31 acres); and Bow Creek Recreation Area, Cedar County (205 acres). The purpose of this plan is to decide how the NPS can best fulfill MNRR's purpose and protect its
resources unimpaired for the enjoyment of present and future generations at the three properties. The
Draft Property Management Plan identifies potential actions for recreational site development, resource
management, and interpretation/education, and establish management policy on certain issues, such as
access, hunting, hiking, and camping.

Interested individuals, organizations, and agencies are encouraged to provide comments on this important project. The NPS will accept public comments until November 18, 2015.
