FONSI

The National Park Service (NPS) has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposal to directionally drill the Baptist Foundation No. 1 and Nordin No. 1 wells by Fort Apache Energy, Inc.'s (Fort Apache). Two alternatives were analyzed for the proposal in a corresponding Environmental Assessment (EA) which was available for public review from September 21, 2013 to November 6, 2013. As stated in the EA, the NPS has chosen Alternative B as its preferred alternative for the proposal, which would allow the NPS to fulfill its park protection mandates while allowing Fort Apache to exercise their property right interests by directionally drilling the subject wells.
