Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area Management Plan

The Draft Management Plan for the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area is a guiding framework for MSNHA's next 7-10 years. It includes the vision, mission and purpose; overall management goals; plans for visitor interactions; and resources for protection and preservation.
As presented, the plan is divided into 11 sections: 1) Cover page, table of contents, Parts A and B of Strategies (specific goals, plans, research and objectives); 2) Strategies Part B - suggestions for research, education and interpretation of the 3 primary themes; 3) Strategies Part B - preserving and enhancing natural and cultural resources; 4) Interpretative Plan, MSNHA's 3 themes: 5) Interpretative Plan - goals and recommendations for heritage tourism. 6) Business Plan; 7) Implementation Plan- staffing organization and other resources; 8) Implementation Plan, - a five-year timeline and key programs and projects; 9) Appendix 1 <redacted> historic and cultural resources by theme and county; 10) Appendix 2 <redacted> recommendations for interpretive tours; 11) Appendix 3 <redacted> sample partner organizations; 12) Concept plans for Oakville Indian Mound and Museum and downtown Elkmont, documentation for public meetings; 13) Alternatives plan; 14) Draft background report, starting with overview and benefits of NHAs, policies and studies and methodology; 15) Draft background report with foundation statement and interpretive theme structures and stories; 16) Draft background report with MSNHA's natural resources; 17) Draft background report continued with MSNHA's cultural resources; 18) Draft background report with economic and market assessment.
