Summer 2013 Construction Schedule

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: EFLHD is going to be working to complete the paved waterway along Northdown Road this coming Friday (6/28) and Saturday (6/29). While work on Saturday is not consistent with original plans, it is required to prevent possible property damage associated with the open waterway. The work will be done with only a partial road closure, full traffic control and no heavy equipment.

General Schedule: EFLHD has projected reconstruction work involving traffic delays, including temporary road closures and lane closures, will commence in mid-June. Approximate dates for planned construction specific to the three main segments of road are below (and shown on attached map).

As explained in our May 1, 2013 letter, all work will occur between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and restrictions in access to individual homes should not exceed 15 minutes at any point in the project.

Road conditions during construction: During the above dates, residents driving through reconstruction areas should expect minor traffic delays and periods of rough road conditions. Reconstruction of the road consists of road "pulverization" (grinding, grading and repacking) of existing pavement followed by asphalt paving. Pulverization of the road will result in temporary rough conditions in which it is not recommended low riding vehicles pass over the pulverized material. The roadway will be left in a passable condition at the end of each workday.
