Washington Monument Earthquake Repair Project for Public Comment
You are invited to comment on the National Park Service's Washington Monument Earthquake Repair Project, and to identify potential issues or concerns for consideration during National Environmental Policy Act and National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106) reviews. See the document below for a summary of the earthquake damage to the Washington Monument and the National Park Service's plans for repairs. Also attached is the National Park Service's initial consultation letter to the State Historic Preservation Officer.
