Ahwahnee Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan - FONSI, Programmatic Agreement, and other determinations

This Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) documents the decision of the National Park Service to adopt a comprehensive plan for phased, long-term rehabilitation of The Ahwahnee. An environmental assessment analyzing rehabilitation alternatives was available for public review and comment July/August 2011.

The Selected Action is substantively the same as described for the Preferred Alternative (Alternative 3) in the environmental assessment. To view the environmental assessment, see the separate posting in PEPC by clicking on the "Document List" on the lefthand side of the screen.

The final decision package (files posted below) consists of the following:
-Finding of No Significant Impact
-Errata sheets to the environmental assessment
-Programmatic Agreement between the park and the State Historic Preservation Officer
-Wild and Scenic River Section 7 Determination
-Public Comment and Response Report

Implementation of the plan will occur over the long-term as funding becomes available. Initial components of the plan will include improving the East Wing fire egress, reconfiguring The Ahwahnee bar, and accessibility improvements.
