Fort Stanton Park Slope Repair, Stabilization, Environmental Restoration and Transfer of Jurisdiction--Environmental Assessment

This Environmental Assessment (EA) was developed by the National Park Service and the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) to evaluate the impact of the Fort Stanton Park Slope Repair, Stabilization, Environmental Restoration and Transfer of Jurisdiction project.

In addition to the reservoir rehabilitation work suggested in the document title, this EA will also address the proposed transfer of management jurisdiction for a portion of the site. The larger of the two existing
Reservoir (No. 2) is on National Park Service property, having never been transferred to the District of Columbia like the smaller reservoir (No. 1). The proposed transfer of jurisdiction would place property management responsibilities for that part of the park with the District of Columbia.
