Summit Hall Turf Farm Water Access Project Public Scoping Information


The Superintendent of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park is announcing a 33-day public scoping period to solicit public comments on a proposed project to modification an existing water line and to construct an additional water line to the Potomac River from the property of Summit Hall Turf Farm, Inc, 21300 River Road, Poolesville, MD 20837. The proposed project would be within Mile 28.46 and Mile 29.35 of the park.

During this scoping period, the public is invited to identify any issues or concerns they might have with the proposed project so that the National Park Service can appropriately consider them in an Environmental Assessment/Assessment of Effects. You may submit comments electronically through this website or submit written copies to the below listed address. Only written comments can be accepted.
