Draft Programmatic Agreement

Grand Teton National Park (park) continues to implement Alternative C of the 2016 FEIS (Selected Action, Record of Decision, December 5, 2016), and is evaluating amending the selected action to incorporate elements of Alternative D, specifically a separated multiuse pathway extending the length of the Moose-Wilson Corridor and realignment of a segment of the Moose-Wilson Road, with a parallel pathway, between Sawmill Ponds and Death Canyon Road. The modifications fall within the Moose-Wilson Road Cultural Landscape.

The NPS worked with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Officer, federally recognized tribes, and others to develop a draft a programmatic agreement (PA). This PA sets out a process for us to follow as we design and implement the action.

You are invited to comment on the draft PA as part of the public process outlined in the regulations of the National Historic Preservation Act (54 U.S.C. 306108 (formerly 16 U.S.C. § 470f), and Protection of Historic Properties, its implementing regulations, 36 CFR Part 800). Your comments will be considered as we finalize the PA. You may comment through PEPC. The comment period will run for 15 days from June 24 through July 9.
