Public Scoping (Virtual Public Meeting)
As part of the public scoping process, the NPS will host a virtual public meeting on December 4, 2024. The meeting will kick off a 45-day public comment period, during which stakeholders, community members, and park visitors are encouraged to share their thoughts on potential improvements to the park. The proposed updates will address the growing demand for arts and cultural programming, as well as issues related to accessibility, circulation, and sustainability.
The goal of the amendment is to ensure Glen Echo Park continues to thrive as a premier center for arts, culture, and education. As NPS plans for the future, it is essential to hear from the public to ensure that community needs are met while preserving the park's rich history.

Expanding Programming: The NPS is exploring options to increase the park's capacity for additional arts and cultural programming, ensuring diverse communities are served.
Accessibility Improvements: Proposals will address necessary upgrades to make the park more accessible, including ADA-compliant entrances and pathways.
