Curry Village Pavilion Chimney Repairs (YH 2020)


JUSTIFICATION:
The concrete work on the top of the chimney is eroding and falling apart. The chimney was constructed with the 1974 reconstruction and is not part of the original building that burned in the early 1970s.

SCOPE:
1. The contractor will chip, clean, and remove the eroding concrete debris from the chimney.
2. They will form, dowel, and pour the repair piece for chimney.
3. They will fabricate and install a custom copper angle form and chimney cap.
4. The chimney cap will be painted with a heat resistant black paint to ensure no glare from Glacier Point while keeping the chimney functionality the same.
