Joshua Tree National Park Campground Fee Increase to Offset CLIN Fees

Joshua Tree National Park is proposing to raise campground fees by $5.00 per night for campgrounds that can be reserved through www.recreation.gov. The purpose of raising the campground fees is to cover Joshua Tree National Park's cost of using the national reservation service contract - www.recreation.gov. Recreation.gov charges contractor line item (CLIN) costs ranging from $3-4 per night per reservation. By recovering these contractor CLIN costs, Joshua Tree National Park would be able to reinvest these funds into enhancing visitor services and facilities within the park. Currently, the park assumes this cost.
