Parkplanning and PEPC will be offline for Data Center maintenance from 4 PM MT on Fri., Apr. 19th to as late as 3:00 PM MT on Mon., Apr. 22nd.

This PEPC project is being prepared to accept and encourage public comments on a proposal to increase the nightly fee at the Saddlehorn Campground in Colorado National Monument. The proposal is to increase the nightly camping fee from $20 to $22 per campsite. Holders of the America the Beautiful Access and Senior Lifetime passes would continue to receive 50% off per night campground fee.

The campground fee was last raised in 2011. Since then the administrative costs associated with the campground, including the National Recreation Reservation System service charges have gone up. The fee change is proposed to begin January, 2019 when campground opens for reservations. Currently, 30 of the campgrounds 80 sites are on the reservation system. The rest of the sites would remain on a first come, first served basis. The advantage of reservations allows visitors to plan their trips with the comfort of knowing a site is available upon arrival. Typically from late April through early June and again from mid September through October, Saddlehorn Campground is often filled to capacity.

Comments may also be submitted through the mail to: Colorado National Monument, Attention: Chief Ranger, 1750 Rim Rock Drive, Fruita, CO 81521. The public comment period will run from August 15 thru September 15, 2018
