The NPS has completed the planning process to continue protecting aquatic ecosystems in the park from sediment sourced from a degrading legacy timber haul road. The purpose of the project specifically is to remove threats to Larry Damm Creek, a stream inhabited by 3 federally threatened fish species, by removing the final 0.8 mile of haul road, 4 stream crossings, and bridge infrastructure and abutments.
