The Frisco Railroad Station, a Classic Revival structure was built in 1903 as a passenger and freight depot for the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company. It contributes to the West Garrison Avenue Historic District which is locally significant. The district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under Criterion C for distinctive architecture and community planning.

On January 8th, 2009, a localized fire damaged the south wall of the non historic storage addition. Funding of this project would allow demolition and removal of 900 square feet of the non-historic,fire damaged unit. The addition is not of historic fabric nor does it compliment the buildings character.

Demolition of this addition would bring the south facing side of the Frisco Station back to the 1948 footprint, based on historic photographs.
