The construction of a new parking area will provide a safe, functional and efficient parking lot which is needed in part to replace the temporary pull off area site and to address the safety risks associated with parking along a road. A new parking lot would minimize these safety risks, and would also consolidate parking into one permanent area.
This environmental assessment evaluates three alternatives: a no action and two action alternatives. The no action alternative would not construct a parking area within Goodman Point. The action alternatives address the construction of the new parking lot in two different areas on the north end of Goodman Point Unit.
* indicates the current step in the planning process

Step 2. Conduct external scoping
Step 3. Refine alternatives
Step 4. Identify environmental impacts and select preferred alternative
Step 5. Prepare draft plan/environmental document
Step 6. Public review of draft plan/environmental document
Step 7. Prepare final plan/decision document
Step 8. Release final plan/decision document to the public *
