This study is on an expedited schedule. While the National Park Service typically presents preliminary management alternatives to the public in an abbreviated newsletter format before fully analyzing them in a complete public draft, we do not plan to issue this interim newsletter in this case. Instead, the public will have an opportunity to comment on the alternatives as part of the complete study. This will enable us to complete the study one year earlier than our initial schedule.

Step 3. Analysis of costs, benefits, and environmental impacts of alternatives and determination of preferred alternative, Spring 2009

Step 5. Study finalized and report sent to Congress, 2010
