Scoping is the first step to involve the public in the environmental analysis process. The following steps outline the process the park will follow to create a Motorized Vehicle Access Plan/ Environmental Assessment and final rule. A rule is required under Executive Order 11989.

Step 6. Public Comment on Draft Rule (Spring 2011)
Step 7. Final Decision Document and Final Rule (Summer 2011)
After the final decision document is signed, Curecanti National Recreation Area can implement the plan and final rule.
