The finding of no significant impact statement, floodplain statement of findings, and the Wild and Scenic Rivers Section 7 determination have been signed by Acting Regional Director Rory Westburg. The National Park Service (NPS), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration/ Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA) will implement alternative B, the replacement of the existing bridge with a 280-foot bridge constructed in the same location. The selected alternative includes a river restoration component.

Project work on the Cedar Grove Bridge is expected to begin in fall 2010. More information on the construction schedule will be provided at a later date.
