The NPS is seeking public input to guide the development of a Coastal Management Plan for Lake Clark National Park & Preserve. The plan is in the early stages of development and the park is seeking feedback from the public and stakeholders to help identify key issues and potential management strategies. Steps in the planning process are outlined below.

Step 1. Establish purpose and need, develop project objectives, review data and previous studies, explore desired conditions.
Step 2. Identify key issues, explore potential management strategies, public review of key issues and potential strategies, Tribal and State of Alaska consultation *
Step 3. Incorporate public, Tribal and State of Alaska comments, refine strategies, develop indicators and thresholds and visitor capacity analyses, draft plan and environmental impact analyses.
Step 4. Public review of draft plan and environmental assessment.
Step 5. Prepare final plan and decision document.
Step 6. Release final plan and decision document to the public.
