Plan Process

Park fees are authorized under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA) of 2004. A critical component when proposing to change fees is engaging with the public. Public comments on proposed changes for frontcountry camping and Wilderness Recreation Permits at Zion are being accepted from August 1 through August 31, 2023. Changes are approved by the Regional Director after an internal review of public outreach efforts.
