This planning process builds upon previous park planning guidance through identification of ongoing visitor use and resource monitoring. The concepts and strategies are designed to ensure high-quality visitor experiences and to restore and protect park resources in wilderness and backcountry areas. The National Park Service is seeking public input to help in establishing a Backcountry and Wilderness Management Plan for Channel Islands National Park.
