The National Park Service will be presenting additional information regarding the West Potomac Park Levee project to the Commission of Fine Arts.

 
Description:
The presentations will include a very brief overview of the project history as well as two additional alternatives for the closure structure on 17th Street which have grown out of the public meetings which were held in August to review preliminary concept designs developed for the Environmental Assessment. In addition, a rough mock-up will be set up on site in order to help visualize the alternate locations, potential heights, and potential effects of the proposed flood control structures.

Meeting Directions/Instructions:
The Commission of Fine Arts is located in Suite 312 of National Building Museum at 401 F Street NW, between 4th & 5th Streets NW. The National Building Museum is accessible by Metro on the Red Line at the Judiciary Square station. Use the National Building Museum/National Police Memorial exit. The National Building Museum is directly across the street from the Metro exit.

In addition, a rough mock-up will be set up on site in order to help visualize the alternate locations, potential heights, and potential effects of the proposed flood control structures.

Meeting Directions/Instructions:
The National Capital Planning Commission is located at 401 9th Street, between D and E Streets in Northwest Washington, D.C. NCPC is easily accessible by Metrorail. The two closest Metrorail stations are Gallery Place/Chinatown (Red, Yellow, and Green lines) and Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter (Yellow and Green lines).
From the building's lobby, take the North Lobby elevators to the 5th floor. NCPC is located in Suite 500.
