Fire Island National Seashore to Host Public Meetings on Draft General Management Plan

 
Description:
The National Park Service (NPS) will host two public open house workshops to share the document, which proposes alternatives for the long-term management of the Seashore.

The public open house workshops will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Draft GMP/EIS, to ask questions of park staff, and to submit comments. Scheduled meeting dates, times, and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, June 30 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Patchogue-Watch Hill Ferry Terminal, 160 West Ave, Patchogue, NY
Saturday, July 25 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Ocean Beach Community Center, Ocean Beach, Fire Island, NY

Watch Hill Terminal Site is located at 150 West Avenue in Patchogue, New York, 11772.

From the Long Island Expressway (LIE or I-495), take Exit 61 S onto County Road 19 (Patchogue-Holbrook Road).

From Sunrise Highway (Route 27), take Exit 52 South onto County Road 19 (Patchogue-Holbrook Road/Waverly Avenue).

About 1 mile from Rt. 27, bear left. Cross Main Street, go over the railroad tracks, and cross Division Street. Pass the bowling alley. Ferry terminal parking lot is on your right.
