The National Park Service is developing a Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks Visitor Experience and Access Plan. Please join park staff and planners to learn about the plan and how you can get involved.

 
Description:
This public meeting will function like an open house, with a brief welcome, introduction, and orientation shortly after 6:00PM. Attendees will then be encouraged to browse information regarding the plan, planning process, and how to provide comment. NPS staff will be available to answer your questions to the best of their knowledge. Please note, although comment cards will be available at this meeting to submit in person or online, discussions with staff will not be documented as formal comments on this planning effort.

Meeting Directions/Instructions:
The Visalia Convention Center is located adjacent/connected to the Mariott, just north of Highway 198 in Visalia, CA. If traveling via highway, take exit 107A off Hwy 198, and head north on Court Street. Street parking is available. There are also two parking lots on the block and in a few parking garages on adjacent blocks, immediately across the street from the Convention Center.

This will be followed with a moderated question and answer session focused on the plan and planning process. NPS staff will answer your questions to the best of their knowledge. Please note, this meeting is not intended to record your comments.

Please note that this meeting was originally scheduled on January 11, 2023 but has been postponed due to severe flooding around the parks and surrounding communities, including Three Rivers. The public comment period has also been extended by a week, from January 17 to February 15, 2023.
