Transcanyon Water Distribution Pipeline
The National Park Service has developed an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Transcanyon Water Distribution Pipeline (Pipeline) project for Grand Canyon National Park (Park). The Pipeline was constructed in the 1960s and plays a critically important role supporting Grand Canyon National Park operations. It supplies all potable water to the park's South Rim as well as the Cross Canyon Corridor.
The Pipeline has exceeded its expected useful life and now experiences frequent failures requiring continual maintenance in a remote and rugged environment.
