The work on this project will include the repair and painting of the exterior of the Stuve House (HS-05), consisting of 7,169 square feet of paintable surface area. Before painting, exterior stucco repairs will need to be made. Once repairs have been made, the surface will be prepped and painted with two coats of exterior latex paint to match the existing color. All 67 windows will be prepped and painted as well, with re-glazing done to windows as needed. The back/east porch of the Stuve House will also be re-built with all new framing, decking, columns and lattice work. The porch was originally added prior to 1884 but has been heavily repaired and rebuilt over the years to the point where there is no original material. In addition, the Stuve Carriage House (HS-05a) exterior will be repaired and painted, which consists of two windows with trim, one entry door with trim, and two garage doors with trim. There are no windows or doors on the south side of this building.
