Increase Entry Fees

Sagamore Hill NHS has charged a $5.00 fee for adult entry to TR's Home since 1993. The Annual Sagamore Hill Pass has been $20.00 for unlimited entry for one year. These fees are lower than any comparable house museum on Long Island, many of which charge multiple fees for entry and programs.

This proposed action would raise the entry fee for an adult to tour TR's Home to $10.00, and increase the fee for the Annual Sagamore Hill Pass to $40.00. All Interagency Passes would still be honored (Senior Pass, Annual Pass, Access Pass, Military Pass). Children 15 and younger are free.

The income from the fee increase would be used to improve the experience of the visiting public, maintain historic structures, protect museum collections and archives, and manage natural resources. The funds would support the development of new interpretive programming, support needed staffing, and enhance visitor services and facilities as the National Park Service approaches its centennial anniversary in 2016.

All fee income collected at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is retained locally for use to enhance this site's visitor experience.
