Mojave National Preserve » Improve water quality at West Pond for Mohave tui chub habitat » Document List

The Mohave tui chub is an endangered fish species residing in four locations in the world. Two populations exist within Mojave National Preserve. West Pond, also referred to as Three Bats Pond, once held Mohave tui chub. The National Park Service would like to restore it as suitable habitat for another Mohave tui chub population, in accordance with recommendations in the Mohave tui chub Recovery Plan (1984).

Comments are being accepted on the Environmental Assessment for Restoring West Pond, from August 20, 2015 through September 19, 2015.
