The National Park Service (NPS) is pleased to announce the availability of the Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed sewer interceptor. The EA has been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, NPS Director's Order 12, and regulations of the Council on Environmental Quality to provide guidance in determining the appropriate actions needed to perform the proposed drilling.

The EA will be availalbe for review from this website from February 9-March 10, 2010. A hardcopy of the document is also available in the Visitor Center of the Natchez Trace Parkway (Milepost 266, Tupelo, MS). The NPS considers public involvement to be an important component to a successful planning process, and we look forward to receiving your input.
