The National Park Service (NPS) Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail continues in its efforts to acquire and develop a portion of a city block for an expanded Selma Interpretive Center (SIC) in downtown Selma. The NPS has developed this proposal by following Section 106 process of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.
