Twin Lakes Campground Improvements

Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve » Twin Lakes Campground Improvements » Document List

The National Park Service is proposing to rehabilitate and expand the existing Twin Lakes Campground located at mile 27.8 Nabesna Road in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve to accommodate tent camping and small recreational vehicles. The preferred alternative would develop 12 to 14 new campsites including restoration of the existing campsites. The campground road would be widened and improved using a new alignment. Each campsite would have parking, tent pad, and fire grate; additional facility development would provide a vault toilet, water well, bear-resistant food storage, pavilion, canoe launch, viewing deck, boardwalk, and day use area with parking.
