Pueblo of Jemez Eagle Society Traditional Religious Cultural Activity 2026

In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the National Park Service (NPS) prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to examine alternative actions and environmental impacts associated with the issuance of a special use permit to the Pueblo of Jemez at Valles Caldera National Preserve. The EA is prepared in accordance with 516 DM 1, U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), Handbook of National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Procedures, February 2026 (DOI NEPA Handbook), its appendices, and the DOI National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Regulations at 43 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 46.
