Dear Interested Party,

On behalf of the study planning team, I am pleased to share with you the Draft Southern Campaign of the Revolution National Heritage Suitability/Feasibility Study. The study team evaluated the suitability and feasibility of a congressional designation for portions of North Carolina and South Carolina as a National Heritage Area according to the criteria established in the National Park Service's "Draft National Heritage Area Feasibility Study Guidelines".

Please review the document and provide us your comments by January 20, 2012. You can submit your comments either of the following ways:

1. Attend a public meeting. Public meeting dates, times, and locations will be announced shortly.
2. You may also submit comments on this website by selecting the "Open for Comment" link in the left navigation.

Also, you will note on page ii of the draft document that the public review period originally was set for 30 days. The National Park Service has extended the review period so the the public meetings do not conflict with everyone's busy holiday schedules.

I welcome your continued participation in this important planning effort and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Chris Abbett
