Adapt Infrastructure and Install Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for Transit Buses

Yosemite National Park » Adapt Infrastructure and Install Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment for Transit Buses » Document List

The proposed project is to create a charging station for up to six electrical transit buses at the existing Yosemite Falls parking area. Project components include trenching for installation of underground power supply lines. Lines will be placed along existing electrical infrastructure as much as possible. The project includes installing sub-grade vaults or pull-boxes, switches, concrete pads, transformers, metering and service panel cabinets, manufacturer-provided power control units in cabinets, and power dispensing units with power supply cords. A small structure will screen new equipment from view and protect it from weather and vandalism. Crash posts will be installed to protect the electrical equipment. Three new 10' x 40' parking spaces for buses (1,200 square-feet) will require asphalt pavement at the Yosemite Falls parking area.
