BOILER AREA FENCE REPAIR
Repairing the existing security fence, whcih has been exposed to much weathering and is in a state of disrepair, would involve resupporting the existing fence material. There is a work order issued to repair the fence.

BOILER ROOF CONSTRUCTION
Erecting the roofing structure would consist of 4-3" x 8' steel posts w/base flange, 2x6 douglas fir rafters (brown metal roof), and 4x8 douglas fir headers with metal brackets. Dimensions of structure will be 96"H x 108"L x 10'6"W. The heigth fence is also 96" high, so the roof would not extend above the security fence. There will be no ground disturbance--the roof posts would utilize the existing concrete slab. The design and pitch of roof would be in accordance with the rustic tradition of the existing Visitor Center Comfort Station roof so as to blend with the natural setting of the surrounding landscape. This structure would save the park's investment of a new boiler being installed and other equipment in this area from the weather.
