Cabrillo National Monument Trail Management Plan

Cabrillo National Monument » Cabrillo National Monument Trail Management Plan » Document List

The National Park Service is developing a Trail Management Plan for Cabrillo National Monument. The plan will identify strategies, document decisions, and recommend actions to guide the development, maintenance, and use of the trail system, while also balancing these actions with resource protection, for the next 20 years. The plan is needed to:
• Assess visitor experience and visitor safety.
• Potentially improve connectivity between features of interest inside the monument (for pedestrians).
• Protect park resources through the decision-making process and subsequent actions.

The National Park Service welcomes your feedback about this planning effort. Please submit your comments here on this project website by clicking on the "Document List" link at the left side of this page to respond to three questions for comment.

The public is also welcome to attend one of two open house meetings to be held on Tuesday, March 21st (please see the "Meeting Notices" link at left). These meetings will be an opportunity to provide feedback and ideas regarding the Trail Management Plan directly to the NPS team.

Please check back to this project webpage for updates about this planning effort.
