Dear Friends of the Virgin River:
We are very pleased to announce the release of the Virgin River Comprehensive Management Plan / Environmental Assessment (CMP/EA) on July 29, 2013. This plan has been prepared for newly designated wild and scenic rivers that are managed by the National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management. This is a jointly developed plan to manage the designated river segments. The plan is available for comment from July 29 to September 9, 2013.
Please click the "Open for Comment" tab to the left to download, review, and comment on the NPS/BLM plan. A limited number of CDs of the plan are available on request by contacting Zion National Park at zion_park_information@nps.gov. Be sure to include your name and your complete mailing address in the email request.
Three public open houses will be held covering the plan. We encourage you to participate. Please click the "Meeting Notices" tab to the left for locations, dates, and times for these open houses.
We value the public's interest in the Virgin River, and we look forward to implementing this plan with your support and collaboration.
