This project will rehabilitate the 14 campsites at the Governor's Landing Campground. At all sites, overgrown vegetation will be shredded back to the original dimensions of the campsites, brush will be removed, and large rocks taken out. Formal tent pads will be created. Trash cans and grills will be relocated farther away from the existing shade shelters and picnic tables. Picnic tables will be replaced. Crushed limestone base will be laid around the picnic shelters and leveled to the existing concrete picnic shelter pad (with a bucket attachment on a backhoe or skidsteer). Each site will have a slightly different footprint and layout due to differences in the hilly terrain.
