Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is requesting public comment on a proposal to increase the entrance fee into Point Park starting in 2015.

In order to standardize fees nationwide, the National Park Service has established a new entrance fee rate structure. The NPS has grouped similar parks into one of four different tier groups. Large parks, like Yellowstone NP, fall into Group 4, which have the highest entrance fees. Chickamauga and Chattanooga NMP falls into Group 1, which consists of small sized parks that charge the lowest entrance fees. NPS standard rates proposed for Tier Group 1 parks would increase entrance fees to $7 per person or to $30 for an Annual Pass.
