Cape Hatteras National Seashore » Pave Flowers Ridge Road in Buxton

Cape Hatteras National Seashore is seeking public comment on the project to pave approximately 400 feet x 25 feet of Flowers Ridge Road within the park boundary. The road ends at the park boundary and leads into a community subdivision. The present roadbed is gravel and deteriorates due to weather events and vehicle traffic access to the subdivision. The NPS fills and grades this section of roadway on a regular basis. The project will pave this section of road to improve community access to the subdivision and reduce the ongoing maintenance of this gravel section. The project may require minor vegetation removal.
