This project will install screen doors to the eighteen Stoneman Cottage visitor accommodation rooms. The doors are made of wood, painted to match existing paint, include brass room numbers, and include a door handle that maintains the historical context of the structure. The purpose of this project is twofold: 1) Provide greater guest comfort in air circulation for rooms without existing air conditioning, 2) Provide for greater rodent exclusion by reducing rodent access when entry door is open. This building was converted from a dance hall to the existing eighteen visitor accommodations in 1962. The inclusion of screen doors was not part of the 1962 renovation.
