The GMP involves a management strategy designed to guide current and future management decisions. Geographic areas and management zones, which are described in detail in the document, provide the foundation for this strategy. Six geographic areas, each with its own management philosophy, are described. The description includes managment zones for each area in which various levels of development and types of activities are permitted. The document contains an array of information about park resources, as well as an analysis of possible impacts to those resources.
The Record of Decision (ROD) is a statement of the decisions made as a result of the analysis undertaken in the EIS, including consideration of public input.
