The existing patio dining area, located within the Del Monte Courtyard along the east side of the Argonaut Hotel (Historic Cannery Warehouse) between Jefferson and Beach Streets is a 1,249 square foot, 46-seat patio dining facility for the Argonaut Hotel's 1,995 square foot restaurant. This project involves the enlargement and enhancement to the patio area as follows:

• Increase in area from 1,249 square feet to 1,718 square feet
• Increase of seating area from 46 to 70 seats
• Removal of existing concrete curb and railing as required to enlarge the deck area
• Installation of new concrete curb and railing to define the new patio expansion area
• Removal of the existing concrete patio as necessary to install new gas lines to new patio heaters, expanded patio area, and new power and speaker lines
• Replacement of existing concrete with new concrete as required where concrete is removed for installation of the new gas lines, electrical lines, and speaker lines
• Removal of existing patio area to install four new trees that will match the existing trees already located in Del Monte Courtyard
• Installation of new umbrellas over the new and existing patio area
• Installation of new wind screen with logo on the existing and new patio railing
• Installation of new table, chairs, and wait station

This project will have minimal impact on the historic fabric of the Warehouse building. The proposed changes will only affect non-historic concrete paving.
