Dismantling of WAPAMA

The National Park Service (NPS) has concluded that it must proceed with the dismantling of the Wapama, a National Historic Landmark wooden ship, because of the vessel's deteriorated condition and hazardous state. This action is pursuant to the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park General Management Plan (GMP)/Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) Record of Decision of October 9, 1997.
