- Angler's Inn Spur Trail – work will help better distinguish the trail and add a staircase to improve safety and viability on the trail.
-Billy Goat A Trail, minor relocation the official trail to the right of a stream and build "stepper boxes" though a biologically sensitive area. General improvements throughout to address eroded areas.
-Billy Goat A Emergency Exit Trail – address the 80 foot mud area near towpath with a construction of a turnpike with water flow through passes.
-Lock 19 Loop Trail, the park would like to utilize a more effective social trail as the defined path and construct a stabilizing wall to uphold the trail structure.
- River Trail needs to be resurfaced to reduce mud build-up and make the surface more safe.
-Intersection of Woodland and Goldmine Loop Trails – puncheon walkway to keep hikers out of drainage area
-Catfish Hole – install four check steps to slow sheet flow stormwater runoff.
All of these projects will be supervised and coordinated through the Trails Coordinator for the park.
The park's Interdisciplinary Team reviewed the project for impacts to natural and cultural resources. The project does not pose any serious or long-term effects to the environmental, historical, cultural, archeological, or visual resources. It meets categorical exclusion #C.3 – Routine maintenance and repairs to non-historic structures, facilities, utilities, grounds, and trails.
