1. All campsite accessibility upgrades are designed to fit into the existing campsite borders and shall meet the intent of the attached conceptual site plans. Dimensions, materials, quantities and slopes shall be verified prior to installation. The contractor shall provide a final site plan for each campsite prior to installation. The final site plan shall be approved by the COTR prior to construction.
2. Campsite areas shall not exceed 1.8% slopes (average campsite area is ~800 sf).
3. The finished surface of campsite areas shall be compacted decomposed granite 6" thick and shall extend 2' beyond campsite boundary.
4. Decomposed granite of camping area surface to be flush with concrete parking pad height. Where asphalt remains in the parking pull out, the existing asphalt shall be saw-cut in a straight line.
5. Site drainage shall follow existing drainage patterns. Drainage shall not be conveyed through the new sites.
6. Campsite border shall be pressure treated 6"x6" wood. The wood to be brown in color and shall not be painted.
7. Campsite border shall be anchored with 4' #4 rebar on 4' centers and 6" from any end.
8. Campsite border 6"x6" pressure treated borders shall be flush with granite and slate mixture for water to run over edge of border (slope to be determined on site).
9. Campsite border shall be lagged on all corners with two 5/16" x 4" lag screws. All corners shall be cut at 45 degrees for flush connections.
10. Campsite 70 shall have raised tent pad that is 12'x12' from the outside edge of wood and shall be between 17" and 19" in height. The pad shall be constructed with 6"x6" pressure treated beams. This campsite shall be 21' wide for wheel chair code clearance around tent pad (4' clearance around tent pad).
11. Tent borders shall be 4' pressure treated stakes on 4' centers on the inside perimeter and secured to beams. Tent pad needs to be stable for transfer to pad.
12. Tent pad borders shall be secured on all corners with 5/16" x 4" lag screws. All corners shall be cut at 45% for flush connections.
13. Tent pad surface shall be a minimum of 6" thick. The surface shall not exceed 1.8% any direction.
14. A concrete accessible parking space shall be provided. The parking space will range from 16' (minimum required for van accessible space) to 20' wide and 60' in length to accommodate RV space and movement requirements.
15. Slopes within the parking area shall not exceed 1.8%. The driveway section of the parking stall shall not exceed 4.75% slope unless site grading can be reduced by using a steeper slope. Where site grading can be minimized slope not more than 8% may be used. Cross slopes shall not exceed 1.8%.
16. Parking spaces shall be 6" concrete with ¾ inch aggregate. The concrete shall be 4000 psi and must have #3 rebar in a grid pattern of 24" center spacing. The rebar shall be 2" clear from the top or bottom surface. Concrete shall have a medium broom finish and colored dark to minimize contract with existing surface.
17. Earthwork operations shall be minimized. Soil generated from campsite and pad installation may be used where fill and catch-slope grading is required. Fill shall be compacted in 6" lifts.

19. Due to the proximity of known, sensitive resource, archeological monitoring will accompany all ground disturbance. Schedule with archeology office as soon as contractor schedule is available. All monitoring will be performed in accordance with the 1999 Programmatic Agreement for Section 106 compliance, Stipulation VII.C.2.h.
